On April 30th through May 3rd, twenty St. Clare Walker Middle School TSA members competed at the Virginia TSA Technosphere 2026 State Leadership Conference and Competition held at the Hampton Convention Center. The purpose of Technosphere is to bring together like-minded, self-driven students, who are passionate about technology and STEM education, to one large conference to help focus their interests through related competitions and leadership.
Due to the high level of competitiveness of our students, the St. Clare Walker TSA chapter received 4th place in the Lynn P. Barrier Outstanding Division Award, and also received 6th place in the Arvid Van Dyke Outstanding School Award of the middle schools attending the conference this year.

Seventh grade students celebrated Earth Day last month by eating outside and using reusable trays and utensils. Students are also using more reusable water bottles to reduce the use of plastic.

Eighth grade students had fun learning more about Pi last week in math class!



On February 21st, twenty-three St. Clare Walker Middle School students competed in the Tidewater TSA Regional Fair, held at Grassfield High School in Chesapeake. Middle and high school student members competed in more than 30 competitive events based on principles and concepts learned through projects during the school year in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) subjects.
