Middlesex Athletics for the Week of March 25-30, 2024
Master Deputy Lutz with the Gloucester County Sheriff's Office, accompanied by K9, Zeus, visited with the Virginia Rules Club this morning, shedding light on the responsibilities of a K9 Handler and the pivotal roles they play within their agency. Throughout the session, Master Deputy Lutz showed how Zeus utilizes his training in practical, day-to-day scenarios. Additionally, students had the opportunity to witness Zeus in action as he demonstrated his ability to detect and alert to trained scents.
Deputy Rainey, School Resource Officer, leads Virginia Rules on Mondays and Wednesdays during WIN (What I Need) Block. Virginia Rules is an educational program designed to help students understand the laws that apply to Virginia teens in their everyday lives.
