
Our 7th and 8th grade band students put on a wonderful holiday concert last week!





The SCW STEM Club designed and made 3D medals and ornaments for the annual YMCA Jingle Bell 5K last weekend. The SCW team had a great time participating!




Help support American Cancer Society research. SCW TSA has put together a fundraiser to have the students' favorite SCW staff members get pied in the face. The two staff members that earn the most money will pie each other during lunch on Thursday, December 19th. To vote, students will put money in the cup of the staff member they want to get pied. Money will be collected during breakfast and lunch leading up until December 19th. All money collected will be donated to the American Cancer Society, so please support this great cause.


It's time for the annual Urbanna Tree Decorating Contest! Vote for the SCW Builders Club tree! Voting begins at 5pm on Friday, December 6th and ends at 3pm on Saturday, December 7th! There is a ballot box at Landsdowne or you can vote on the Urbanna Facebook page!


SCW celebrated first quarter/ first trimester honor roll students! All A's and A/B honor roll! Congratulations!







The Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School for Marine and Environmental Science will be hosting a live webinar for prospective students and families on Wednesday, December 4th, at 6pm using the Zoom link below. National Junior Honor Society's 3rd Annual Food Drive!

SCW boys' basketball tryouts will begin tomorrow, Tuesday, November 19, after school until 5:15 p.m. Please send a note giving your child permission to stay after school if your child is interested in trying out for the team.

SCW boys basketball tryouts will NOT be held tomorrow, Monday, November 18. Tryouts should begin on Tuesday, November 19. Stay tuned for more details.

While we understand that perfect attendance may not always be possible due to illnesses or family situations, we like to encourage healthy habits and encourage daily attendance! Daily attendance is a key factor leading to academic success!!




National Junior Honor Society members had fun participating in MES's Trunk-or-Treat!




Who said you can't have a little fun on Halloween in middle school? Sublimation lesson in 8th grade science with dry ice! Pumpkin exploding and scatter plots in 8th grade math! Read aloud fun in 6th grade! Seventh grade students had a fun day at Oyster Festival Education Day!






David Moore, a 7th Grade Science Teacher at St. Clare Walker Middle School, has done a fantastic job coordinating boat trips on the Chesapeake Bay for our students. These experiences enhance students' understanding of the ecosystem and foster a love for the environment.

Today, St. Clare Walker Middle School students experienced the SCW Reality Store. Students were given a career and a family size to take into consideration while shopping for monthly expenses. Volunteers from local community partners worked with students to make financial decisions to help them be successful. Students were shocked to see the costs of essential utilities that took away from their entertainment costs.

SCW soccer played their last home game of the season yesterday. Eighth grade students were recognized and honored their families with flowers.
